About Tyrell McGee
Tyrell McGee was born and raised in the Tri-Cities in Washington State. In High School, he played basketball, football and ran track, while also riding just about anything with wheels. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Human Performance and Exercise Science from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, where he also played three years of football. After completing his Undergraduate degree, he worked as a personal trainer for four years. Tyrell went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
His goal as a Physical Therapist is to be the best provider that he can be by continuing to learn and grow his practice. As such, he is looking forward to participating in MTI Physical Therapy’s Sports Residency Program in 2025. Due to his own experience as an athlete who had to overcome some injuries, while playing at a small school, it became clear that some providers in these programs didn’t have all of the tools and resources necessary to manage their cases well. Tyrell’s approach to patient care is rooted in his desire to provide individualized and coordinated care, helping athletes not only return to their sport, but also achieve the goals they have spent their lives working toward.
Throughout his life, Tyrell has always enjoyed things that get him up and moving. Outside of the clinic, Tyrell enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, playing basketball, and golfing. He also enjoys watching movies and playing board games with friends.
