What Patients Think About Ryker Penner

"Love these people."

Clean, orderly, PROFESSIONAL. A PCP once sent me to a chiropractor and it was a nightmare, so I was very anxious. My therapist listened carefully to my entire history (I’m 67), examined me, put me through some starter exercises, sent me home with text link to exercises. Love these people.

MTI provides great physical therapy services, and specifically Ryker Penner, who is knowledgeable and easy to work with.

"I highly recommend MTI as the place to go for supportive and thorough treatment."

This has been a great experience all around. From my pre-surgery “here’s what to expect” assessment, to being now 4-weeks post-knee replacement, everything has been clear, comforting and professional. Ryker has pushed me, but stayed aware of my own limits, as well as made sure I understood what progress looked like. He’s listened to me complain, and stayed supportive, but never let me off the hook, which is exactly what I need in a recovery plan and therapist…I highly recommend MTI as the place to go for supportive and thorough treatment.

"I find MTI to be one of the best and most professional physical therapy organizations"

As a sports enthusiast and Pilates instructor, I find MTI to be one of the best and most professional physical therapy organizations I’ve had the pleasure to work with. I had a massive rotator cuff tear and my therapist Ryker is a gem. He has taken me very far in my recovery, and I am very very grateful. Also there is a very professional atmosphere.

About Ryker Penner

Ryker grew up in Bonney Lake, Washington, but attended the University of Findlay in Ohio for six years. During Ryker’s time there, he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy, as well as played four years of collegiate soccer. Ryker has experience with coaching youth soccer and also worked with younger athletes on a volunteer basis to help them learn to not only play the sport, but also to become admirable teammates and people.

His love for sports and his background in collegiate athletics helped spark his interest in joining MTI Physical Therapy and enrolling in MTI’s Sports Residency program. After completing the sports residency in January 2025, he received his Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) certification, which demonstrates further expertise in evaluating and treating individuals of all ages across all sports.

Ryker is very excited to be back in the PNW! He loves the nature and scenery in the area, in addition to all of the recreational activities that the PNW offers, such as skiing and backpacking. The youngest of four kids, he is also happy to be back in the same area as his family and many of the friends that he grew up with.

A fun fact about Ryker is that he enjoys an active lifestyle and has summited two of the five volcanoes in Washington State; he hopes to summit the remaining three volcanoes in the near future.
