About Chris Glatz

Chris Glatz is the Edmonds Clinic Manager and brings 28 years of experience to MTI Physical Therapy. He graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri in 1995. After starting his career, he realized that in order to improve patient outcomes, he needed to get better as a clinician. As a result, Chris was introduced to manual therapy through some continuing education classes taught by an Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI) instructor and eventually sought out residency training, which he completed in St. Louis in 2002.

In 2004, Chris was very fortunate to have been able to move to Seattle to work with Brad Jordan, PT, and the other excellent therapists at Advanced Manual Therapy in Ballard. He became an OGI instructor in 2007 and has had the opportunity to teach certification courses in manual therapy, as well as residency and fellowship level classes nationally and internationally. Chris has also contributed to manual therapy texts and training manuals for the OGI. He is excited to be part of the MTI team due to their excellent history of providing high-level patient care and advanced post graduate training to their staff and the PT community.

Chris’ treatment philosophy is to empower patients to improve their lives through collaborative teamwork. He feels that it’s important to encourage patients to be invested and involved in their own rehabilitation journey and not just be a passive participant. By providing a roadmap to recovery, Chris is able to teach patients how to increase their performance, as well as how to prevent injuries in the future. He considers himself a lifelong learner and is always looking for opportunities to increase his knowledge and skills through continuing education and interaction with his colleagues.

In his free time, Chris likes to stay very active. You can often find him enjoying outdoor activities like skiing, hiking and camping. He also enjoys cooking, reading and traveling, as well as home brewing and auto restoration.
