About Leah Kaplan-Zdeblick

Leah was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA, where her passion for physical activity began with ballet. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of the Pacific. After graduation, Leah worked as an EMT and later as a physical therapy aide in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Emeryville, CA. These experiences inspired her to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University in 2024 and pursue a career in physical therapy. In 2025, Leah joined MTI Physical Therapy and is excited to participate in MTI’s Sports Residency program.

Leah enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic injuries, with a special interest in working with dancers and performing artists. She is dedicated to providing patient-centered care that allows her patient to improve their overall health and wellness. As such, all of her evaluations and treatment programs are focused on her patient’s needs and goals.

Outside of work, Leah loves exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Will, and their dog, Mozzie. She spends her free time weightlifting, running, snowboarding, discovering new restaurants, and diving into a good book.
