About Scott Olson
Scott Olson is a co-owner of MTI Physical Therapy. He began the practice of physical therapy in 1986 and later opened the Bellevue clinic in 1998. Like many of his colleagues, he became interested in the profession as an injured athlete – in his case, a cross-country runner in high school, and spent some time as a patient in a sports medicine clinic. From that point on, there was no question as to what course of study he would undertake in college.
After he had been practicing for a few years, the lure of manual therapy training piqued his interest. Recognizing that manual therapists had the most sophisticated and advanced training in the field of orthopaedic physical therapy, he set his sights on acquiring those much sought after skills. He completed his first two-year residency program in manual therapy through the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI) in December 1991, achieving a Masters Degree in Manual Therapy (MOMT). He then completed another two years of advanced residency training with the OGI in San Diego, completing Part II in 1995. He became an instructor with the OGI that same year and has been teaching residency and short term courses in the US and Europe ever since.
Outside of practice, Scott enjoys playing tennis, mountain biking, working out to stay healthy and spending as much time as possible with his wife and three kids.
