About Ryker Penner
Ryker grew up in Bonney Lake, Washington, but attended the University of Findlay in Ohio for six years. During Ryker’s time there, he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy, as well as played four years of collegiate soccer. Ryker has experience with coaching youth soccer and also worked with younger athletes on a volunteer basis to help them learn to not only play the sport, but also to become admirable teammates and people.
His love for sports and his background in collegiate athletics helped spark his interest in joining MTI Physical Therapy and enrolling in MTI’s Sports Residency program. After completing the sports residency in January 2025, he received his Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) certification, which demonstrates further expertise in evaluating and treating individuals of all ages across all sports.
Ryker is very excited to be back in the PNW! He loves the nature and scenery in the area, in addition to all of the recreational activities that the PNW offers, such as skiing and backpacking. The youngest of four kids, he is also happy to be back in the same area as his family and many of the friends that he grew up with.
A fun fact about Ryker is that he enjoys an active lifestyle and has summited two of the five volcanoes in Washington State; he hopes to summit the remaining three volcanoes in the near future.
