About Collier Lawrence
Collier Lawrence was drawn to MTI after seeing their commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and its emphasis on continuing education while completing one of her final clinical rotations. With a background rooted in both academic and athletic excellence, Collier meets patients where they are. She believes that every person deserves a path back to rebuilding strength and mobility, while restoring confidence, coordination, and identity through movement.
Originally from the Sierra Nevadas, Collier earned an undergraduate degree from Washington State University in Kinesiology, where she ran track and cross country for four years. She coached track and cross country at the University of Nevada, Reno before starting a 12-year professional running career, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Collier specialized in the steeplechase on the track before moving to trail and ultra distances — she competed in two Olympic Trials and podiumed at four US Championships.
Subsequently, Collier earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Oregon State University- Cascades. Known for her empathy, creativity, and collaborative style, she believes that investing in physical, mental, and social well-being is essential to both rehabilitation and overall health. While she enjoys working with all types of patients, she specializes in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, sports performance, and functional movement. She prioritizes education, collaboration, and functional training in order to provide meaningful, high-quality care to patients. Whether working with athletes, post-operative patients, or individuals with neurologic diagnosis, Collier is committed to providing personalized care that empowers every patient.
Outside of the clinic, Collier enjoys traveling, playing in the mountains on bikes, skis, or feet, and eating good food.
