What Patients Think About Steve Chappell

"he worked his MAGIC to help me"

I only have praise for MTI PT – Edmonds! I have always had a very positive experience here. Kyndal K. and Steve Chappell are awesome human beings and great assets to MTI PT. I was under Steve’s care during THE MOST painful time of my life; he worked his MAGIC to help me when nothing else worked. The techniques that he taught me worked better than any medicine and helped give me the resolve and pain relief I needed until I got my surgery done. Blessings to Steve, Kyndal, and the MTI PT – Edmonds institution itself for helping people and making their lives better; the care that Steve and Kyndal have shown has inspired me to become a better human being myself and help others in their times of need. Thank you for everything 🙂

"I highly recommend them & Steve!"

Absolutely fabulous! I called around no one could get me for months out. I had a returned call promptly and have had the best experience with PT that I have ever had! Steve Chappell is FABULOUS, he has pin pointed the true problem the first visit! I highly recommend them & Steve!

"I would highly recommend them."

This is the best PT I have had in years. I thought with my recent injury it was going to take 4-6 weeks to get back to my sports but with the help of MTI, I was back in 3 weeks. I would highly recommend them.

"We’ve seen slow but steady improvement."

I was referred to MTI Physical Therapy by my sports medicine doctor who saw me for a shoulder issue. I had previously tried Luna (the at home PT service) and while that was convenient, I have felt more confident in the services/expertise I’m receiving at MTI with my PT Steve. He’s been great at listening to my concerns and coming up with a program to address my longstanding injury. We’ve seen slow but steady improvement. Also, I’ve appreciated the availability of early morning appointments that I could attend before work.

"feeling better within 1 session"

Steve is a grade A professional! Very friendly and very knowledgeable, he makes PT fun and relaxing, using every tool at his disposal to get you feeling better within 1 session.

About Steve Chappell

Steve has been an endurance athlete from a young age, participating in cross country throughout middle school and into college. In 2018, he graduated from Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. After graduation, Steve immediately moved to Colorado to pursue his dream of treating endurance athletes and living in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. He started a full-time position at an outpatient clinic in Leadville, CO, while also developing a small private practice to focus on local professional athletes and ultrarunning clientele. In May of 2022, he received an EMT certificate to learn emergency medicine and be prepared in the case of on-field injuries. In 2024, he completed MTI’s Sports Residency program and is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist and professional bike fitter.

He enjoys treating a wide range of sports/orthopedic injuries and patients. However, he is particularly interested in helping endurance athletes return to the sports they love, including, but not limited to runners, cyclists, swimmers, and mountaineers.  Prioritizing and maintaining patient-centered care is the cornerstone of Steve’s treatment philosophy. As such, all of his evaluations and treatments are focused on the patient’s specific needs and goals based on objective data collected in the clinic.

Outside of his clinical work, he participated in many ultramarathons while in Colorado and developed a love for long distance bike-packing. Steve can tell you about his time bike-packing the Great Divide, hiking nearly half of Colorado’s 14ers or sailing to Friday Harbor. However, on most days he just enjoys doing anything outdoors with his partner Julia and their dog Burton. Steve and Julia even have a cat that will sometimes accompany them on camping trips and short walks. They have been enjoying exploring Washington’s stunning scenery on bike, on foot and by boat.
