Physical Therapist
Masters in Physical Therapy
Masters in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Fellow of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists

MTI Physical Therapy team member since 2000.

Wendy has been interested in physical fitness and nutrition for as long as she can remember. An avid marathon runner, cyclist, skier and rock climber in college, she decided to switch her major from computer science to physical therapy and never looked back. Along with her active lifestyle, she ran a fitness center in which she performed fitness assessment testing and designed exercise programs.

Wendy moved from the east coast to Seattle after completing graduate school in 1994 to begin her career as a physical therapist. She joined the MTI Physical Therapy team in 2000 because she saw an environment where she could specialize in manual physical therapy, spend more one-on-one time with her patients while pursuing her educational interests with a like-minded and supportive team. In addition to managing the MTI Physical Therapy clinic in Fremont, she also sits on the MTI Steering Committee to help shape the direction and future of MTI.

Wendy has extensive experience treating orthopaedic injuries (musculoskeletal and neural), post-surgical rehabilitation and pain management. She thoroughly enjoys working with athletes to assess their running mechanics, functional training routine and injury risk level in order to create a preventive training program. She also specializes in custom bike fitting for cyclists and women’s health, especially with women who have pre- and post-natal concerns. Wendy has conducted educational lectures and classes for physical therapists, massage therapists, athletic trainers, exercise physiologists and personal trainers. She is very active in the communities in which she works and lives in, involving herself with charitable and non-profit events. She has held several officer positions over six years in the Washington Orthopaedic Special Interest Group. She has also volunteered with the Special Olympics and Ski For All to provide personal ski instructions for the physically and mentally challenged.

Recreationally, Wendy still enjoys running, cycling, hiking and soccer.
