Marissa received her Bachelors of Rehabilitation Science, from Northeastern University in 2010 and then completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. After graduation, Marissa has worked a in wide variety of settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities and transitional care units. Marissa joined MTI in June 2018 as a staff Physical Therapist. She also works inpatient in a skilled nursing facility. She enjoys the diversity of her patients and the different parts of her knowledge base she is able practice. Last year, Marissa completed the intensive residency training for the Certification of Manual Therapy degree program offered by the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI) and is currently pursuing her Fellowship.

Marissa’s professional interest lie in completing her Fellowship, progressing her knowledge base, and continuing to challenge herself. She finds that her background gives her more experience in the pathophysiological, psychosocial and medical side of treatment, with Fellowship rounding out the exercise physiology and manual skills base.

In her free time, Marissa is an avid mountain biker, hiker, skier and loves to practice yoga and garden.
