Christy Houk

Christy Houk , PT, DPT

Physical Therapist Doctor of Physical Therapy

Christy received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, Colorado in May of 2017. Throughout her education, her clinical rotations took her across the United States from rural Kentucky to Colorado to Washington and then beyond the border, to Nicaragua. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and is excited to continue learning through the Ola Grimsby Institute’s Orthopedic Manual Therapy Residency program.

Christy grew up in Spokane and attended Mt. Spokane High School. She followed in her brother and father’s footsteps and attended Washington State University, (Go Cougs!) where she completed her prerequisites for physical therapy school and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurship. Christy also traveled abroad to study for a summer in Spain. Growing up dancing, she appreciated the beauty of the human body and knew she wanted to be a physical therapist since high school when she began researching healthcare fields. She loves to help patients thrive by guiding them through the healing process and helping them raise their level of function.

Outside of her physical therapy practice, Christy continues to dance and enjoys soaking up the local arts scene by attending all types of live performances. She also loves to travel, both nationally and internationally, whenever she has the chance.  You might also find her at a local brewery or winery tasting new favorites.
