What Patients Think About Private: Christine Taylor

"Christine Taylor is the best Physical Therapist I’ve ever had and I’ve experienced several due to multiple body challenges. The only reason I can function as a yoga teacher and person with chronic migraines triggered by tension in my neck, back and shoulders is because of Christine’s healing hands and body movement wisdom. She has taught me how to move pain free while building strength and flexibility where it is needed. Christine always listens to my questions and concerns and then responds with well thought out answers and inventive ideas to help me. My life has been forever enriched by working with Christine. Thank you for all you have done. You are the best!"

About Private: Christine Taylor

Christine graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a science degree in Biopsychology in 1995 — she spent several years working as a Physical Therapy Aide while pursing her undergraduate degree. Being a competitive swimmer, she appreciated the value and skill of physical training to maximize performance. She then moved to the Netherlands in order to attend the Physiotherapy graduate program at the Hanzehogeschool van Groningen University. She graduated from this professional school in 1999 and was able to move to the US to begin her career in Physical Therapy.

While working in the field, Christine completed the post-graduate Level 3 training through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in Oregon. She continued her education with Yoga, Pilates and Feldenkrais trainings in order to apply these skills to her treatment model of functional body mechanics education. This well-rounded approach to injury prevention and treatment allows for a local and global approach to recovery. Christine also believes that it is important to always consider her patient’s personal goals, and provide them with independent tools for personal success in short-term recovery and long-term injury prevention.

As a proud mom of two, Christine has used this treatment approach for personal successes and for sharing information with many parents in the community. For the past 12 years, Christine has been a regular volunteer guest speaker at the Evergreen Hospital Parent/Baby classes. While there, she is able to share body mechanics and exercise information with new moms and dads, as well as provide injury screening and recommendations to address any concerns. Over the years, patients and parents have reported back that this education and exercise training approach has not only been different from other methods, but has also been a success story!
